These are not really scratches. The paint is not scratched. It just looks like scratches from my ';solar nails'; like acrylic nails/artificial nails. What can I do it looks horrible and my car is only 6 months old. I would really appreciate any help or suggestions. Please help! How can I get artificial nail scratches off around my car door?
I had this problem about 10 or more years ago, and I asked a friend at an auto-body shop for advice.
It was remarkably simple, and worked like a charm...
Tooth paste and toilet paper. Take a small dab of tooth paste (simple, plain tooth paste; nothing fancy) and put it on the toilet paper. Rub the scratches down in a circular manor. For big scratches, you can use a tooth brush first to break them down, then use the toilet paper to polish them out.
Sounds weird, but it worked great. I've been using that method ever since! Please help! How can I get artificial nail scratches off around my car door?
I would try some polishing compound in liquid form (not the paste), or some deep scratch remover. You can find this stuff at a local parts store. Use it with a microfiber cloth and rub it in with a little bit of effort. Rub too hard or use too much product and you'll remove the paint. If that doesnt work, you'll have to find someone to do a spray touch up to fill in those scratches. Your dealership should have someone to do that for you.
go to walmart or a autozone and they have a mild rubbing compound buy it take and take a soft cloth dab rubbing compound on it rub in circles and then take another clean towel and wipe it clean that should take care of problem
go to kragen ,pep boys, or auto zone this are store for car supplies, and ask for the scratch remover for car I am it will take care of the problem
get a tube of mcquires scratch and swirl remover and use a soft cloth with small circular motion and work the scratches they will most likely disappear.
usually a good wax will take those marks right off.
