How do I removed my gelled artificial nails?

I tried using acetone, but all it did was make my nails thinner and gave me a chemical burn on the pads of my fingers. Is there a better way? I do not want to go to the manicurist because she'll charge me.How do I removed my gelled artificial nails?
well what i normally do is take a nail file and slowly peel them off. it hurts but as long as youre careful then they come off. just put some clear nail polish on after you do so your actaul nail wont break. How do I removed my gelled artificial nails?
rubbing alcohol. Let your fingers soak in it awhile.
soak them in polish remover with acetate . remove a little at a time and resoak . this is time consuming , but , if you try to rush , you can damage the nail plate .
Honey if the acetone does not work you have to go to the salon. So what if they charge you, they get paid to make your nails look pretty.
pure acetone. You just have to soak it for a long time. Get a metal cuticle pusher, and try to push from under the nail. it can hurt just a little bit, but just remember to soak them for a long time! I've done it many times.
Acetone is the best way to remove it if you don't want to go to a nail technician. It melts the glue and the acrylic until the nail falls off.
